Manabu Seoka, is a leading tuna scientist with vast experience in tuna nutrition, maturation, reproduction and larval rearing. Manabu earned B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Kinki University. He served as Assistant then Associate Professor at that institution (now Kindai University). He was instrumental in closing the life cycle of the Atlantic bluefin tuna in Cartagena, Spain. Later, Manabu served as Senior Researcher at Skretting, a global aquafeed manufacturer. Today, Manabu is dedicated to attain the successful maturation and reproduction of Pacific bluefin tuna – a species he is very familiar with in California.
